2023 American Women Quarters: All Five Coins
Five American Women Quarters were issued in 2023: Bessie Coleman, Edith Kanakaʻole, Eleanor Roosevelt, Jovita Idár and Maria Tallchief. 2,665,600,000 were struck for circulation. The lowest mintage of the year is the Maria Tallchief quarter at 370,600,000 and the highest is the Edith Kanakaʻole at 741,400,000. In circulated condition each is worth 25 cents.
The second year of the program produced the most coins: 2,665,600,000 across five designs. It includes the highest-mintage coin of the whole series, the Edith Kanakaʻole quarter at 741,400,000, and the coin with the most inscriptions, the Jovita Idár quarter, with fifteen, most of them forming her figure and naming her newspapers, organizations and roles.
Three 2023 designs carry words in languages other than English: Hawaiian on the Kanakaʻole coin, the Spanish names of Idár's newspapers and organizations, and Tallchief's Osage name on the Maria Tallchief coin.

Mintage and rarity
The 2023 total of 2,665,600,000 is 33 percent of the program's 8,024,800,000 coins. Within the year, the Maria Tallchief quarter has the lowest mintage and the Edith Kanakaʻole quarter the highest. The lowest single-mint issue is the 2023-D Maria Tallchief, at 184,800,000. None of these numbers make a circulated coin scarce in any practical sense; they decide which coin is hardest to find in change, not which one is valuable. See all 20 mintages and the key date.
The 2023 obverse
All five 2023 coins share one obverse: George Washington facing right, from Laura Gardin Fraser's 1931 design, with LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, the date 2023 and the mint mark. The mint mark is to the right of Washington's neck, below the date. P is Philadelphia and D is Denver; S, for San Francisco, appears only on coins sold to collectors.
Errors
Documented errors or varieties exist for Edith Kanakaʻole and Bessie Coleman. Everything else sold as a 2023 American Women Quarter error is, in the cases checked, die wear, machine doubling or damage. The errors page has the full documented list and nine tests that separate an error from damage.
Proof sets, rolls and bags
